Track Name: The Solemn Ones
I watch as the ashes fall from the sky.
Injustices lingering, no one is wondering why.
I must be sleeping.
Hope I'm just dreaming.

When did the world turn so cold?
The suns burning hot yet all I see are a host of icy molds.

Solemn statues line the crevices of the earth.
Their grimacing countenances have no understanding of mirth.
Speaking their poisoned words.
From shattered glass verse.

Jaded by their lethargy.
No one told them they could be themselves.
A living, breathing suicide, marionette mockery of life with no strings in sight.

They keep on dancing to the same sad song.
Life's right in front of you and has been all a long. But as long as you keep that rain cloud overhead you'll continue to freeze, freeze, freeze.
Track Name: A Waking Truth
I see a pretty face tonight, maybe we'll have a drink or two.
And if all the stars are right, maybe I'll steal a kiss or two.

I don't want to open my eyes.
I don't want the sun to rise.
I just want to be this night forever.
Forever.

Then the light cracks through my windowpane.
Reminding me you're not here.

I guess I'll try again.
Searching through flesh and skin.
Seeking out a memory from long ago.

A beauty as deep as hope.
An honesty that won't elope.
In a world of lies and questions, and questions.

I just move through the motions.
Like a tidal wave carrying life with me ready to be shared.
I ain't got the time to wait, ain't got the time to waste hanging round.
Life traps me like a spider's web filled with the tears I've shed along the way.
Track Name: That Day by the River
Down by the book there I had me a look and I saw you.
In the oceans of light bathed in summer's twilight the stars envied you.
So beautiful and unrestrained.
Nature's blood flowing through your veins.
Wild like a river.
And from that moment on I knew.

No one was going to change you.
No one was going to chain you.
Why would anyone want to?
You're as beautiful as a shooting star.

She looked at me once and I looked at her twice and my words came tumbling down like three blind mice.
I could see her laughing.
She spoke to me once and I spoke to her twice and my heart came tumbling down like three blind mice.
I could see her blushing.

I'm not here to change you.
Got no chains left on me to chain you.
Why would I ever want to?
You're as beautiful as a shooting star.
Track Name: Hospital Blues
I hate the way you smell
and I hate your sickly light.
and I'll hate the news you tell me
Don't matter if it's wrong or if it's right.

Watched a good man pass away
Watched another hair turn grey
Must've aged five years that day
Another child weeps.....alone

Hallways filling up with the sick
The doctors are all speaking in tongues
Another pain filled bathroom trip
Moans the patient from Room 21

You wanna sing a song to make them well
gotta cry out screaming loud as hell
Another child born neither pauper or fool
Sitting quietly humming the Hospital Blues

Life support is beeping
Guess that means I'm still breathing
Noone's yelling flat line.
I guess that means I'm still alive

I think it may be time to leave
Don't be bereft, I've settled all my debts
Time to take that long bony hand
spent my last grain of sand on a bet where I had losing odds.

Wanna sing a song to make them well?
Gotta cry out screaming loud as hell
Another child born neither pauper or fool
Sitting quietly humming the Hospital Blues.
Track Name: In Flight
Little bird why don't you fly away
to a place where you can spread your wings?
And sing your song all day, all night long.

But I won't hold a thing against you if you're gone by end of day. There is no reason for you to stay here. So fly, so fly away.

Fly away.

It's time to see a brand new sky and if you're flying so fast you'll never die.

I won't hold a thing against you if you're gone by end of day. There is no reason for you stay here.
So fly, so fly away.

The nest has long since been empty and all the eggs have long since hatched. Mother bird's so proud. She's so proud. Her baby birds' flown away.
Track Name: I Need Some More Nails for my Ship
A cold wind is blowing in from the coastline telling me I must decide.
The moonlight shining so bright, it constantly reminds me of your face

It's nobodies fault it just wasn't meant to be,
Though the tears fall I now can clearly see.

Those sweet lips, once kissed now a gentle mockery.
Those lovely eyes whose kindness hides a coldness sharing secrets with the grave.

It's nobodies fault, it just wasn't meant to be, though the tears fall I now can clearly see.

Believe me I tried to patch all the holes I'd find. In this sinking ship that I've made, I thought it would brave your rough and rocky seas. You've torn all my sails, summoned such gales. The Likes I've never seen.

My lifeboat, my lifeline, whiskey finds me calmness in such times
My heartbeat, the pulse heat, beating fiercely like an angry tide.

It wasn't my fault, it wasn't meant to be
It wasn't your fault, it wasn't meant to be.

Believe me I tried to patch all the holes I'd find. In this sinking ship that I've made, I thought it would brave your rough and rocky seas. You've torn all my sails, summoned such gales, the likes I've never seen.

You were the wind that blew through me, bringing life to my sails. Bringing life to my sails.

You were the sun that shown on me, breathing life in my heart, breathing life in my heart.

And now you've gone off to sea.
And now you've gone off to sea.
Track Name: Betrayal in your Kiss
One for the lies you told to me.
Two for the spaces in between
those three A.M phone calls.
Did you think I wouldn't know?
That pretty little smile can't hide, it can't hide, it can't hide your cheating little soul.

Three for the shadows lighting fires in my heart.
Four for the empty love that we made in the dark.
Every thrust lowered my coffin.
Every kiss poisoned my cup.
So why'd I drink so deeply.
I think I, I think I, I think I confused it for love.

And I was a fool, and I was your mule.
You led me to water, but I'll be goddamned if I drink from this poisoned well. I gaze on it's waters, my reflection barely resembles myself. What the hell happened? Where did I go?

Five for the moments wasted tones.
Six for the love that lay entombed.
Every breath I take screaming.
Like a banshee trapped in glass.
I can't believe it finally freed me.
I never thought, I never thought, I never thought our love would last.
Track Name: Memories We Lost in the Fire
Love died in a fire that night.
She walked out the door and left with my life.
A couple of photographs, I'm left to decide if I should let them all burn.

Cus I'm fading, and grey haired, and wasting away.
The rain said it made it, but we cannot see it beyond all the fires we've made.

I threw the stone at the window.
I grew the garden and then let it die.
You left that night and when you returned.
I could see it in your eyes you were cold dear.
Where's your coat dear?
And everyday following words became hollow and still.
Though presented with no danger, I slept beside a stranger.
The flames they grew higher that made our love flourish and grow now doesn't know, it's burned our love away.
I watch the ashes say goodbye.

Goodbye.

Cus I'm fading, and grey haired, and wasting away.
The rain said it made it, but we cannot see it beyond all the fires we've made. We've made. We cannot see it beyond all the fires we've made. We've made. We cannot see it beyond all the fires we've made
Track Name: My Very Last Lie
Living in an age where love is a dying.
Actors on a stage with an audience crying out to you with hisses and boos.
I saw the ghost of God he was weeping rose pedal tears on the pavement seeping through the cracks on the earthworm's backs.
Living in a world where the TV's preaching.
Everyday, everyday people reaching new found lows.
Who needs a soul?
Bathing in the blood of a disagreement. Everyone's right when a knife's appeasement to make your point of your loveless light.

Everyone looks on again.

Angels crawling hands and knees through broken glass holla.
Pastor throwing congregation fears dressed as dollars on a luminescent stage of an adolescent phase.
Some people grow out of the ashes of the withered.
Rising up fast with each telepathic slither through anothers heart whom they'll fail to start.
Basking in the broken glass of reflections shattered by words said to break instead of build spirit matter.
Who needs care as the serpents fare?
I saw the ghost of God he was weeping rose pedal tears on the pavement seeping through the cracks on the earthworm's backs

Everyone moves on

But I'm leaving this world tonight.
I'm taking that 9mm train to the end of the line.
Cus I'm even with all my deceiving.
I've shed my last layer of snake skin and buried it deep inside my very last lie. My very last lie.
I've buried it, buried it, buried it deep inside.
