lyrics

I watch as the ashes fall from the sky.
Injustices lingering, no one is wondering why.
I must be sleeping.
Hope I'm just dreaming.

When did the world turn so cold?
The suns burning hot yet all I see are a host of icy molds.

Solemn statues line the crevices of the earth.
Their grimacing countenances have no understanding of mirth.
Speaking their poisoned words.
From shattered glass verse.

Jaded by their lethargy.
No one told them they could be themselves.
A living, breathing suicide, marionette mockery of life with no strings in sight.

They keep on dancing to the same sad song.
Life's right in front of you and has been all a long. But as long as you keep that rain cloud overhead you'll continue to freeze, freeze, freeze.

about

Broken Bird Call Hammond, Louisiana

Started by Troy Bennett in early 2013 as a solo venture in the vein of an acoustic project started with Daniel Bankston (The Great Phonograph Fires, Withering Light) in late 2010. All recording and mixing was done by Nick Feduccia. All instruments and arrangements done by myself except for the flugelhorn performed by Mr. Lacy Blackledge. Enjoy.
